The vendor support team has released a hotfix to the Echo360 platform which stabilizes the integration with D2L Brightspace. Issues across all reported courses at Stony Brook are resolved with this latest release.

DoIT has received additional reports of instability with embedded Echo360 media in Brightspace courses, and is continuing to work with the vendor support team on this issue. Echo360 has published a second hotfix to their platform integration with D2L Brightspace and DoIT is monitoring the impact of this release.

The vendor's Support and Engineering team believe they have identified the source of the issue and are working to implement a fix across the platform to address this issue.

Investigating
DoIT is aware of an issue intermittently impacting students trying to view Echo360 videos embedded in Brightspace Courses. This issue is only impacting Brightspace Courses using the Echo360 QuickLink OR directly embedding videos on content pages.
DoIT has escalated this issue to the vendor (Echo360) support team for resolution.
